Managing Director


Bob Whiley is the Managing Director of Babcock Networks, having joined Eve Graham in 1996 as Managing Director and then subsequently working as Managing Director of Eve Transcom – now Babcock Networks.

 

Bob began his career with Seeboard and then moved into engineering and contract management with Dudley Bower & Company.  In 1995 he became Chief Executive of the Bower Group.


Garry Peat CDir MIoD B.A. (Hons) F.C.M.A
Finance Director


Garry Peat joined Babcock Networks in 1999 having held a number of senior financial & general management positions.

 

Garry began his career at Butterley Engineering where he worked as Marketing Development Manager and then Company Accountant.  He then moved to CAMAS Building Materials where he worked as Management Accounting Controller, followed by a period as Financial Controller at ALSTOM Transport.

Alliance Delivery Manager


David joined Babcock Networks’ Transmission Division in 1987.

 

Until recently David was Divisional Managing Director – Transmission.  He is currently the Delivery Manager for one of Babcock Networks strategic partnership, EAW, a five year alliance partnership involving National Grid, Babcock Networks, AMEC and Mott MacDonald.


Chris Turner MRICS
Divisional Managing Director - Communications


Chris is one of the founders of Turner & Partners, which is the Division’s professional services business.  He successfully led the nationwide expansion of the company within the telecoms and general utilities sectors.  Chris now holds the position of Divisional Managing Director for Communications at Babcock Networks.

 

Chris is a Chartered Surveyor with over 24 years experience in the property and telecoms sectors.


Matt Staley B.Eng (Hons)
Divisional Managing Director - Transmission


Matt has been the Divisional Managing Director for Transmission since early 2006.

 

Matt initially joined the company in 1990 before leaving to complete his degree in Civil Engineering.  After periods working as an undergraduate Site Engineer, Matt returned to the company in 1995, initially working as a Site Engineer and Construction Manager.  Matt became the General Manager for Transmission in 2005 before entering his current role.
